BABÀ
Babà is the typical dessert of Neapolitan pastry, a baked product soaked with rum, a dessert that wins everyone over at the first bite thanks to its incredible softness and deliciousness! It has a national day dedicated to it, June 28th.
Babà is a symbolic dessert of Naples and the pride of Neapolitan pastry; in its original recipe, it has a sponge-like texture so that it absorbs the rum syrup. In Naples, you can find several versions: with cream, chocolate, fruit, or in a giant format.
Ingredients: 00 flour, eggs, butter, honey, fresh brewer's yeast, salt, sugar, rum, lemon.
